Arcane Season 2 Release Window Update Just Made The Wait For New Episodes More Painful-TGN

  • Season 2 of Arcane, the Emmy-winning animated show set in the League of Legends universe, is set to premiere in November 2024.
  • The release window was announced during Netflix’s Geeked Week event, with no specific date revealed yet.
  • Season 2 comes three years after the release of season 1, which was divided into three parts and debuted in November 2021.

The wait has officially begun for Arcane season 2, which has been put on the schedule. The Netflix animated show, which has already won four Emmys, is set in the world of the popular video game franchise League of Legends. It follows sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), who live in Piltover and are caught up in the conflict brewing between the rich and the poor in the city, which is complicated by the use of arcane technology.

During their Geeked Week event, Netflix announced the release window for Arcane season 2. The new season will debut sometime in November 2024. While there has not been an official date assigned within that month, this means that the season will premiere roughly three years after season 1 debuted in three parts called “acts” over the course of November 2021.

Everything the Arcane Stars Have Done Since Season 1

While there is still quite a long time to wait before season 2 premieres, the major Arcane cast is set to reprise their roles. In addition to Steinfeld and Purnell, this includes Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman. Although all of them will be returning to the popular Netflix show, none of them have rested on their laurels during the long hiatus, appearing in quite a few prominent titles in the meantime.

Caitlyn Kiramman originally appeared in the first episode of Arcane season 1 act 2.

In fact, both Steinfeld and Purnell had live-action shows premiere in the same month that Arcane was running. For Steinfeld, it was the Marvel Cinematic Universe show Hawkeye, which she followed with another vocal performance, reprising the role of Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Purnell, on the other hand, starred in the violent survival show Yellowjackets on Showtime, going on to reprise her role in season 2 as well as starring in Star Trek: Prodigy.

Leung, who is best known for playing Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies, likewise held roles in the shows Annika and The Wheel of Time. There is still quite a long time to wait before the Arcane season 1 ending cliffhanger is resolved. However, the stars have provided plenty of bingeworthy material in the meantime.
