A new poster for Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender has arrived, showing Aang approaching a live-action Air Temple. The series is based on the 2005 animated series of the same name, focusing on the return of the Avatar, Aang, who can learn how to bend water, earth, fire, and air. However, he and his friends from the Water Tribe, Sokka and Katara, are hunted by the Fire Nation as the young boy tries to master all the elements.

Now, Avatar: The Last Airbender has released a new poster for the series featuring Aang making his way toward a live-action Air Temple.

The image also indicates the young Avatar is airbending, showing off his powers. The post declares the series is only 100 days away from premiering on Netflix. Get a closer look at the poster below:

Avatar: The Last Airbender‘s live-action series is expected to cover “Book One: Water” within season 1. This season consists of eight episodes compared to the 20 episodes that make up season 1 of the original animated series. Because of this, some parts of the story will likely be condensed or skipped to allow for further development of the show’s most important stories.

Given the presence of an Air Temple in the latest poster, it seems Avatar: The Last Airbender will faithfully adapt Aang’s discovery of the Air Nomad genocide at the hands of the Fire Nation. This bodes well for other important parts of the original series, like the warriors of Kyoshi and the “Blue Spirit.” These elements in the series contrast with 2010’s The Last Airbender movie, which cut many aspects of the series to fit Book One into a feature-length experience.

Given the success of Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation, the streaming service may strike gold by adapting another animated property with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Aang’s visit to the Air Temple is an emotional moment in the series, which can prove just how much heart from the original the adaptation will have. It remains to be seen what other major events will happen in the show and how much of Book One will make it into the live-action version.
