What To Expect From Lupin Part 3
In the upcoming third installment, Assane is in hiding. He lives away from his wife and son and, and although it’s difficult for him, it’s better than suffering they would endure because of him. Still, as the show synopsis teases, Assane can’t stand the separation any longer. He decides to return to Paris with a wild proposal for his family: they should leave France and begin a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never too far behind, derailing his plans.
The story picks up from when viewers last saw Sy’s character. In the Lupin part 2 ending, Assane was on the run from the police. Though he successfully got a measure of revenge against those who framed his father, Assane was framed for murder in a cruel twist of fate. He decides it’s better to leave his family behind, for their own sake, but it seems that decision won’t hold.
The thriller, which also stars Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme, Nicole Garcia, Hervé Pierre, and Antoine Gouy, is one of the most successful international Netflix offerings. The first installment had 99.5 million completed viewings, while the second had 68.4 million as of June. Lupin part 3 is well-positioned to continue the positive trajectory.
