The Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film has caused yet another movie, The Marsh King’s Daughter, to move its October release date. From Divergent director Neil Burger and The Revenant writer Mark L. Smith, the upcoming psychological thriller stars Daisy Ridley as the daughter of a notorious criminal who must confront her buried past when he breaks out of prison. In addition to Star Wars alumni Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn, the cast also includes Garrett Hedlund, Caren Pistorius, The Florida Project‘s Brooklynn Prince, and Yellowstone‘s Gil Birmingham.

Now, according to Deadline, The Marsh King’s Daughter is the latest movie to be delayed due to the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour release date on October 13. The Marsh King’s Daughter, previously dated for October 6, has been delayed a month to November 3 to avoid competition with Taylor Swift’s concert film, which will play for four weekends.

The Marsh King’s Daughter is just the latest October release to be delayed due to the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film, which has broken records with its ticket presales and is expected to make over $100 million at the box office. The Exorcist: Believer was the first movie to be scared off by Swift, with Blumhouse bumping the horror sequel up from October 13 to October 6. Dumb Money, which chronicles the GameStop stock saga of 2021, was then moved up from October 6 to September 29 to avoid competition with both titles.

Meg Ryan’s return to romantic comedies, What Happens Later, was originally scheduled for October 6, but was delayed and now shares a release date with The Marsh King’s Daughter, illustrating the new challenge it faces. With its new release date, The Marsh King’s Daughter will now compete with several other releases, mostly prestige pictures. Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla also releases in theaters on November 3, as does the civil rights drama Rustin starring Colman Domingo. While The Marsh King’s Daughter will avoid competition with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, it’s also set up a cluttered box office battle on November 3.
