- Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is highly anticipated after the major ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and fans are speculating on how the trilogy will conclude.
- Arifinity_ created stunning fan art imagining the voice actors from the animated movies in live-action roles, including Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy.
- The possibility of live-action and animation combining in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse opens up the potential for a huge multiverse story, with speculation that Miles could team up with live-action Spider-Men like Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
While they have played them in animation, several Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse voice actors get imagined for their live-action counterparts in new Marvel fan art. As massive as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was, the story is not quite over yet, as Sony Pictures still has Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse coming up. Even though the third installment has no release date set as of yet, the anticipation is massive after the major Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ending.
Ever since the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse movie had its title revealed, the Marvel audience has been actively speculating how the next film will finish the trilogy. While the world waits to learn when Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse comes out, Arifinity_ has shared multiple artwork pieces for what the voice actors could look like if they played their respective animated characters in live-action.
One of Arifinity_’s designs features Shameik Moore as the leading hero in the Spider-Verse movies, Miles Morales, a.k.a. the Spider-Man of his Earth.
Arifinity_ also imagined what Hailee Steinfeld could look like as Gwen Stacy, a.k.a. Spider-Woman, as the Spider-Verse movies mark her second major Marvel role alongside playing Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker, who became one of the breakout characters in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, can be seen in Arifinity_’s artwork, along with the live-action version of his daughter, Mayday Parker.
One of the new players in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was Andy Samberg’s Ben Reilly, a.k.a. the Scarlet Spider, who suits up in Arifinity_’s live-action fan art.
While Karan Soni has already had his Marvel adventures through the Deadpool movies as Dopinder, Arifinity_ also did a design of his Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse character, Pavitr Prabhakar, a.k.a. Spider-Man India in live-action format.
Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099, also gets the Arifinity_ treatment, with the Moon Knight star suiting up as the Spider-Man variant.
Last, but certainly not least, Arifinity_ also imagined Daniel Kaluuya as Hobie Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk, a character who made his movie debut through Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, though this would be Kaluuya’s second big Marvel project after Black Panther.
Will Spider-Verse 3 Include Any Live-Action?
Despite Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse being kept under wraps, there has been a lot of speculation regarding whether the threequel will be a combination of animation and live-action, which has been an ongoing question since the first movie’s release. However, the chances of that happening went up significantly after Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, as the movie made this concept an actual tangible possibility. During the introduction of the Spider-Society, live-action variants did show up through archival footage, as Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men can be briefly seen, and a full live-action Donald Glover appears as the Prowler in the movie as well.
Similarly, when the Spot visited Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (established to be Earth-688) with a quick cameo by Venom’s Mrs. Chen, it opened the door even more for additional live-action appearances in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Whether it is Garfield, Maguire, or even Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, if live-action and animation can exist in the same space, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse could lead to the biggest Spider-Man multiverse story of all time if Miles gets to team up with the live-action actors. That would also explain why Sony Pictures are being extremely secretive about the third and final installment.
Even if it will take some time for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse to arrive in theaters, it will definitely be worth it. It is better to have the final movie come out in a few years rather than rush it, especially as the animation is one of the biggest tasks with this franchise. Until additional updates are revealed about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the world can relieve both Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse through home media and on streaming.
