Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the home release of The Boogeyman, which features star Chris Messina. The movie follows the Harper family after a disturbed stranger, Lester, infects their home with a demonic presence. The creature feeds on the fear and grief that the family is exuding as they try to deal with the death of Sadie and Sawyer’s mother. Sadie tries to figure out what is going on and goes to Lester’s house, where she meets his wife, Rita.

Rita is also suffering after the deaths of her children, and Lester identifies the creature as the Boogeyman. Although Sadie doesn’t believe her, the terrifying actions of the creature prove to be too much and force her to begin questioning everything she believes if she is to save her father and sister. The Boogeyman is based on the 1973 Stephen King short story of the same name.

More About The Boogeyman

In Screen Rant’s exclusive The Boogeyman clip, Chris Messina explains what drew him to the script, citing King’s ability to tap into more than the surface-level horror in his work.
