Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has one condition for appearing in The Boys. Based on the comic book of the same name, Prime Video’s satirical superhero series follows the titular team of vigilantes who combat corrupt superpowered individuals who abuse their abilities. Since the two shows share a creator in Eric Kripke, several Supernatural actors have appeared in The Boys, including Jensen Ackles, Nathan Mitchell, Lesley Nicol, Adrian Holmes, Christian Keyes, Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and more.

During a recent interview with Collider, Padalecki revealed he would be willing to cameo in The Boys, though he has one condition. The Supernatural star says that Kripke “has reached out to” him about potentially appearing in the Prime Video series, though Padalecki, a 41-year-old father with three kids, says he needs considerable notice to get ripped before making a cameo. Read his full response below:

And my response to him 90% of the time is, “Dude, I’m 41 now with three kids. I’m not 25 and working out three hours a day. I know you’re going to fucking make me get naked, so give me a heads-up. I’m in, but let me get a nutritionist and a trainer and get in the hyperbaric chamber for eight months before you make me show up.” But yeah, it would obviously be a lot of fun to see Kripke again and to work on that show, which is a great show that I’m a fan of.

From the supes to those trying to take them down, The Boys season 4 cast brings back the show’s popular characters as well as new faces.

Other Supernatural Stars To Appear In The Boys

Because both series were created by Eric Kripke, several members of the Supernatural cast have subsequently appeared in The Boys. First and foremost, Jensen Ackles played Dean Winchester in Supernatural, serving as one of the two main protagonists alongside Jared Padalecki’s Sam Winchester for the show’s entire 327-episode run. Shortly after Supernatural‘s series finale, Ackles was quickly cast in The Boys season 3 as Soldier Boy. Referenced throughout the first two seasons, the superpowered World War II veteran doesn’t make his debut until the season 3 premiere, “Payback.”

Black Noir is known for being masked, mysterious, and silent in The Boys, but despite that, he is played by Nathan Mitchell, the same actor who appeared as the friendly and open-minded angel, Kelvin, in Supernatural season 12. Christian Keyes played the villainous archangel Michael in multiple episodes of Supernatural and A-Train’s older brother and coach, Nathan Franklin, in The Boys seasons 1 and 3. Jim Beaver played the endearingly gruff Bobby Singer in Supernatural and returned as a character of the same name, Secretary of Defense Robert A. Singer, in The Boys.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played John Winchester, is the latest Supernatural star set to debut in The Boys season 4, premiering on June 13. Though his character remains unconfirmed, Morgan’s past roles as Negan in The Walking Dead and The Comedian in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen prove that he’s capable of playing complex and superpowered characters. Though Morgan will be the latest, it certainly won’t be the last time Kripke casts a Supernatural star in The Boys with Padalecki also expressing interest.

The Boys
is streaming on Prime Video.
