A new deleted scene from The Flash season 9 features Iris West-Allen worrying about her husband, Barry Allen, as he went missing in one of the final episodes. 2023 became one of the biggest years for The CW’s Arrowverse franchise. After running for nine seasons, Grant Gustin finished his era as the Scarlet Speedster with The Flash season 9, bringing the series to an end and becoming the longest-running Arrowverse drama in the franchise.

Screen Rant is proud to release an exclusive clip from The Flash season 9, specifically from one of the final three episodes of The CW drama. From episode 10, “A New World Order, Part One,” the clip focuses on Candice Patton’s Iris West-Allen after Barry goes missing, which later reveals that he got sent back to the year 2000, on the day when his mother Nora Allen is set to die. In the clip, Iris can’t initially feel Barry at all anymore until she gets help using her love to reconnect with her husband, knowing that he is at least OK.

With The Flash season 9 set to come out on Blu-ray and DVD as of this week, there are a number of exciting features included for the final season. Outside of all 13 episodes, there will be additional deleted scenes from the final season, although how many there are on The Flash season 9 set remains to be seen. There is also the blooper reel, which is always one of the most anticipated features in The Flash fandom.

To celebrate The Flash’s swan-song season, the season 9 set will also have the featurette, The Flash: The Saga of the Scarlet Speedster, which is currently the only confirmed one for the Blu-ray and DVD set. Without any revealed details yet, the focus will most likely be a series retrospective involving various cast members, producers, and writers as they celebrate The Flash’s almost-decade-long run. It wouldn’t be shocking if guest stars from the Arrowverse also pop in throughout The Flash: The Saga of the Scarlet Speedster.

Even though The CW’s ending of the Arrowverse was probably not how fans imagined, given the new regime behind the network, the franchise’s massive success can’t be denied. From several successful spinoff shows to the annual crossover events, the Arrowverse will always remain one of DC’s most beloved live-action universes, which includes everything that The Flash accomplished over nine seasons.

Fans can relive The Flash: The Complete Ninth Season as it becomes available on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, August 29, along with The Flash: The Complete Series (also on Blu-ray & DVD).
