Shahid Afridi’s Daughter Asks “Why Is Shaheen Afridi In The Team?” Watch His Funny Reply-TGN

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi had a cute conversation with his daughter Arwa about Shaheen Afridi. This sweet little conversation between the father and daughter has gone viral.

Ahead of Pakistan’s World Cup 2023 match with Australia in Bangalore, Shahid Afridi appeared on Samaa TV along with his little daughter Arwa.

Just before wrapping up the show, Arwa threw a tricky and cute question to her father, asking why is Shaheen, who is the son-in-law of Shahid, in the Pakistan team.

Afridi chuckled at it and replied that if Shaheen doesn’t perform well, then we will ask why is he in the team.

This is how the conversation went between the two:

Arwa: “Papa, is Shaheen Afridi also in Pakistan team?”

Shahid Afridi replied,” Yes, Shaheen Afridi is also in the Pakistan team”.

A puzzled Arwa then asked, “Kyun hai (why is that)?”

Afridi replied, “We will ask this only when he does not perform well”.

Shaheen Afridi takes 5 vs Australia, Pakistan still loses

Shaheen Afridi did reply to everyone with the ball on the field against Australia by taking a five-wicket haul. Shaheen, who had a five-for in the 2019 World Cup as well, became only the second Pakistan bowler to take two five-wicket hauls in ODI World Cup, emulating the feat of his father-in-law Shahid Afridi.

It was a terrific performance from Shaheen, who was unlucky to not get out David Warner, as Usama Mir dropped Warner’s catch when the batsman had scored only 10 runs. Warner went on to slam 163 runs, and Marsh scored 121 runs as Australia piled up 367.

Even as Shaheen Afridi’s five-for derailed Australia’s charge in the death overs, the Aussies had made enough to win the match by 62 runs.

Pakistan’s next game is against Afghanistan on Monday in Chennai. Pakistan have won 2 matches and lost two matches so far.
